    Question Auto re-directing back to homepage

    I'm trying to create a webpage in which my homepage will have a number of links and once the user clicks on a link, he or she will be directed to that webpage. What I would like is a way for the browser to say if there is no activity for 5 minutes then it redirects back to the homepage. Thanks!

    Put this is the head section of the pages you link to.
    Code:
    <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="3000;url=http://www.YourDomain.com/YourHomepage.html">
    3000 seconds = 5 minutes

    The links will be going to 3rd party (so to speak) webpages that I have no control over. Will that code still tell the browser to return to the homepage?

    So basically this is what I am doing... I'm creating a webpage full of links and basically what I would like is when the user is done and leaves the computer, after a few minutes of inactivity, the browser will automatically go back to the homepage and start over.

    You mean when the user is in the external site and becomes idle for a few minutes, the page should go back to your page? That's not possible.

    Well, basically my local homepage will have a number of links and rather than say "When you are done please click home for the next user" I wanted to know if there was a way that the browser would automatically go to my homepage rather than having to rely on the previous user to click home.

    When the user wants to go back to your site, he will do so. Don't force the user to automatically go to your page. It's all about freedom and respect. And besides, what you want is not possible.
