    Firefox - Clip Div Layer With Flash Movie Inside

    Hey guys.

    I'm just wondering if any of you know of a way to clip a div, with a flash movie inside of the div.

    It works fine in internet explorer, but not in firefox .

    Thanks for your help.

    What you mean clip? Is the div giving extra space in FF? Try adjusting the margin and padding.

    I would like to adjust the clipping using javascript of a div, which has a flash element inside.

    using: document.getElementById (thingy).style.clip = "rect(10px 10px 10px 10px)";

    Something like that.

    It works great in IE, but not in firefox at all.

    If its not possible, is there a way at least to have a onmouseover event fire on the div which is holding the flash element?

    Thanks

    Clipping in firefox only works if the element is position:absolute or position:fixed.

    Yep, I know that. Its works fine with images, and html in the div layer. Just when I put a swf file inside the div, the clipping no longer works.

    It is because of the flash movie. I just was wondering if there is a way around it.
