    Passing info through the Address bar

    Ok, im not sure if this is the best place to post this as it is using ASP (jscript and vbscript)-- However i'll post it here anyhow

    so what im trying to get from my url is the last value that is in the URL ( i passed it either as

    /Selectby.asp?Title
    /Selectby.asp?Author
    /Selectby.asp?Category
    /Selectby.asp?ISBN

    (depending on which button they click)

    .. and im not sure how to look in the Selectby page ( in any language really... ASP java ... vbscript ) to see what was passed to proceed as nessisary..

    Any help would be greatly apprishiated
    ( or if you wanna point me in the right place to post this question if its the wrong place that'd be great too! )

    Please try the following in your Selectby page

    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
    <!--
    if (location.search.length > 0)
    dataPassed = unescape(location.search.substring(1));
    alert(dataPassed)
    //-->
    </script>
    The silent one.
