    Do you mean using a text box with more than one line?

    You would need to use a textarea tag:
    Code:
    <textarea rows="10" cols="50" name="txtMyTextarea">Welcome to my textarea tag</textarea>
    More information can be found here:

    Hope this helps

    I understand what you say mate. Unfortunately multi-line content/scrolling isn't available on one-line text boxes (the <input type="text"> boxes).

    If you use a textarea tag as I mentioned in my previous post, as soon as there is more text than the box can show in one go, it will automatically put in a scroll bar enabling users to scroll through the information. This will enable you also to put the amount of content in that you require.

    Hope this helps

    No, only on their screens. The page is being held on the server and so every time it is viewed new (so if a user navigates to your page, or if they refresh the page) the textarea field will be filled again.

    with regards to the colouring, you might want to post in the HTML and CSS forum

    Hope this helps.

    May want to stay away from any type of frame if you dont have to use them for accessibility reasons.
    You can use a div with overflow:auto;
    Code:
    <div style="width:200px;height:200px;overflow:auto;">Your news here</div>
    if the content of the div exceeds the height or width of the div then it will obtain the scrollbars needed

    Did you mean to say: "Can anyone help me please?"

    Code:
    <div style="width:200px;height:200px;overflow:auto;background-color:#0000FF;font-family:cursive,Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">

    BTW: Although your forum is empty...
    I advise that you update your version of phpbb...
    The version you are using has several known exploits that have been published all over the net and it will take less than a minute for a script kiddie to gain administrative priveledges and mess up your board...
