    Need understanding with "getelementbyid().offsetTop"

    Hello Everyone!!!

    I was looking on the internet for better understanding of the following:

    [document.getElementById(hello).offsetTop]

    What is the purpose of "OffsetTop"?

    Anyone with any info or links to help are welcomed.

    Thank you in advance,

    mbay

    "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believed in him would not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but so that through him the world might be saved. "

    Hi James Cover!!!!

    thanks for your reply and the link - they are greatly appreciated.

    I was studying the link you displayed.

    If I did not want to have offsetTop, is there a way to remove it or have the value to "0"? I tried removing the word "offsetTop" but then the javascript code no longer functioned.

    Thanks for any help and advise in advance,

    mbay

    what exactly are you trying to do?
    Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes :)
