How do you remove the border around an image that is used as a link?

I have a table with like 6 single cell rows, and in each cell, there's an image. Each image is surrounded by a link tag so that it may call a function. The problem is, there's a stupid border around around the images, and it makes my final effect rather ugly. How do i remove the border?
