    onMouseOver

    i have the following code

    Code:
    <b>Poems</b><br>
    --><a href="beautywithin.html">Beauty Within</a><br>
    --><a href="couldfly.html">If I Could Fly</a><br>
    --><a href="follow.html">Which Do I Follow?</a><br>
    --><a href="freeme.html">Free Me, Protect Me</a><br>
    --><a href="goodnight.html">Goodnight My Love</a><br>
    --><a href="loveis.html">Love Is ...</a><br>
    --><a href="myworld.html">You Are My World</a><br>
    --><a href="untitled.html">Untitled</a><br>
    i want to know if it is possible to have the current format that is shown but use the onMouseOver and onMouseOut so that when the user hovers over the Poems, the list of poems becomes available.

    the current setup can be seen at Melly & Barney's World

    I wonder if a script like this would work:
    http://www.bosrup.com/web/overlib/

    That is an excellent "Tooltip" script that is used to display a small amount of text, but could be adapted to your needs.

    FWIW, I use overlib in one of my applications. It seems like a lot of code but it's fast! The tooltip pops up instantly, compared to the "title" attribute where the cursor must hover for a few seconds for the tooltip to come up. Overlib also allows you to format your text somewhat - for example I have a bulletized list.
