keep users from posting w/o breaks?

As you know, there are the people that go into message boards, and enter replies that are 250 char long, without any spaces, like the infamous aaawwwrrrhhhh (but longer) This really messes up the format of the page.

My question is this: Is there a script that will either not allow posts of this nature, or one that will auto break after x about of chars?

Heads up, I know next to nothing about java scripting.

Thanks for any help you are able to give.

Does not matter how much you know about javascripting since this functionality belongs to the server side.

That said, regular expressions can easily catch long words like that. Implementation would depend on the scripting language.
