embedding a form in a link

I know this can be done, I just dont know how!! Basically I have a list of items each with an associated link. If the link is clicked I want to post the id of the item in a form (I guess using onClick). Can anyone help me with the syntax, thanks.

that's a rather vague description; could you provide some more details about what you're trying to do?
