    Mac/IE5.1.7 Issues

I have a couple of users that are using a Macintosh with the above browser. They were doing just fine until I made some javascript changes. Now everyone else is still fine but these few people are having trouble viewing the site. I have been unable to trace the problem so far. It works fine on their (default) Safari browser but not on the IE one. Does this sound familiar or can someone point me in the right direction where I can begin looking for documentation on this issue?

    Thanks!

What about IE5.1.7 on other operating systems? How does your 'new Javascript' affect those users?

You may be using Javascript that only works on newer versions of IE?

It's hard to say without seeing the Javascript and noting what the errors are. IE has a little error icon on the bottom left corner if there is an error with the page. Double-clicking that icon will tell of the error, and the line number the error is on.

You may have to do what lots of people do when making a cross-browser compliant website: check if the browser is IE or NS and execute some code in one case and other code in the other case.

I'm not actually sure if you can check versions and operating systems using Javascript, but that's what you may need to do in your odd case. That or change your code back to the old code!

    Good luck,
    Sadiq.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of the error icon that indicated the error. I will look into that. I appreciate your insight.
