    Base64 String

I am using a script that turns a canvas into a base64 png string, but it is 17,000+ characters long. I was planning to take that string that was in JS and use ajax to put it into the database, but I can't send that many characters in a url for php to use it. I am completely lost trying to figure out how to save a canvas image to my server without having to manually right-click->saveas a converted image.

This is where I got the scripts: Saving canvas data to image file

From that link you can convert a canvas image to a png then save it manually or you can automatically save it to your computer, but I want to save it to my server.

you can use POST with ajax calls - you don't have to use GET

Don't forget to start your JavaScript code with "use strict"; which makes it easier to find errors in your code.
