    Are these javascript functions?

    Hi Folks,

I am looking at some javasctipt code which has frequet mention of the following, and I am wondering if they are
    javascript functions/Objects:

    pageKey,pageData, appCtrl, appData, appGeneral

if they are indeed javascript functions, what are they used for? Hope someone can advise. Thanks

Are you sure that you are looking at Javascript code? They may be user created-functions but they are not in-built.

All the code given in this post has been tested and is intended to address the question asked.
Unless stated otherwise it is not just a demonstration.

You can just paste the code (or part of it) here and we would most certainly be able to tell. It’s definitely easier than guessing from those random terms.

If you ever wonder whether something is an object, property, keyword, or event in javascript (& virtually anything else about a programming language), go to
    http://w3schools' main javascript page

If the "object" is preceded by "$", it's probably jquery

w3schools is way out of date - a lot of the new JavaScript properties will not be listed there and obsolete ones are still listed.

Also $ is used by lots of libraries other than jQuery - it is just another letter as far as JavaScript is concerned.

Don't forget to start your JavaScript code with "use strict"; which makes it easier to find errors in your code.

    Hi Folks,

Thanks for the response. I think they are custom javascript functions for the project.
