    Frames acces problem

    Hi everyone.
This is a description of the problem I'm having.
Any help will be highly appreciated :

    Using only JScript,
I'm trying to get some info from an external page (for example http://www.codingforums.com/ ) and parse information from that page into my page.

    What I did was :
Create a Frameset that contains both pages - the external one, and my page (frame1.htm). Place a button on my page, that starts a function (called : getData()). This function tries to acces the other frame (the one with the external page loaded in it; the code is : **parent.right_frame.document** ), and read some of that data.

    The problem :
After all this, the browser (IE6) reports the following error :
    Acces denied.

That's it. I can't acces an "external" frame or rather a frame that holds an external page (not on my server)...
Help me please. This is a very important task for me. 10x in advance

you cannot script cross-domain it is a security violation, and part of the built in security of the browser. If you want to access what is on a page from another domain you either have to do it server side, or save the page offline and work on it on your own computer.
100% standards compliant code is 100% correct 100% of the time.
one of my toys from my repository and perhaps some help getting help
