    Question Script not working

Please help I do not understand this problem. I have a dynamic drive script which I downloaded, modified in frontpage. It works exactly how I would like. When I upload to my site it doesn't work. More to the point it does not show anything.

Can anybody give me an idea?

Basically 2 files from dynamic drive for the HV Nav Menu. One is
exmplmenu_jar.js and the other menu_com.js. I load them into the root and then publish to my local web server. No problems. As soon as I upload them on the website using the FTP client. The page shows but no menu!!

Your problem is probably not with the script, but rather with FrontPage. My experience with FrontPage (all versions), is that it likes to disable (or delete) code that is not native to it. My advice to you would be to use another html editor, like Dreamweaver, which won't alter your code in any way.

Careful there on that recommendation of Dreamweaver. It's gotten as bad as Frontpage with the script changing and the file deleting and the server connectings bwuhey-- this last version of Dreamweaver is dreadful. I use Homesite+, which is also good for the ColdFusion work I do; another good tool for the Mac is BBEdit. If you've got some time, give TopStyle a spin (he wrote the original version of Homesite years ago; this is a new codebase and a great hand-editor).

If you show us the code (using [ code ] tags please ), we could probably take a look at it and see if we can get it to work.

But, as a rule of thumb, Frontpage is crap. Don't use it if you ever want to be even remotely serious about web design.
