    Booting Linux isn't exactly "the most common task".

    Alex9:-

    Code:
    var please = false;
    var thanks = false;
    if (!please && !thanks) {
    var interestLost = true;
    var moreHelp = 0;
    }

    Do you normally make your requests for assistance in such an abrupt manner?

    All the code given in this post has been tested and is intended to address the question asked.
    Unless stated otherwise it is not just a demonstration.

    I will chime in and say the most common task for JavaScript may be form validation. It's surely the topic most asked about in this forum.
    An optimist sees the glass as half full.
    A pessimist sees the glass as half empty.
    A realist drinks it no matter how much there is.
