Thumbnail grid with expanding preview (the more useful version)

Some of you are probly familiar with this page
    http://tympanus.net/Tutorials/Thumbn...andingPreview/
Its a pretty slick bit of js that allows for a thumbnail grid with expanding preview div on click. At least in its current implementation I dont see an easy edit that allows for that preview div to have any content we want. I'd like to create something where on click the preview pane comes down, and within that pane is a slideshow (most likely using theatre http://www.webdevelopers.eu/shop/5/demo) and some other varied content. text, images, etc. Mainly id like a 100% width slideshow in there.

Anyone have any clue how to edit this grid code to allow for pretty much any content we want to be within the preview pane?

It's a neat effect, that's for sure. But the coding is very inefficient. Apparently the coder has never heard of functions, arrays or the 'this' functionality. I'm going to have to take a close look at this.

I take back what I said. It really is pretty efficient coding. most of the text is comments.
