    Thumbs up FYI: Codecademy.com

Codecademy.com describes itself as a place for beginners to learn programming, but I learned a couple of things about JavaScript myself by taking one of the modules. However it's not just about JavaScript. The site also teaches Web Fundamentals, jQuery, Python, Ruby, PHP, and APIs.

Do you have any experience with this site? Can you point to others like it?

There is another site similar to CodyAcademy called learnstreet.com, i really don't know how good they are in comparison

For javascript specific there is (but this is more reading rather than doing and also points to codeacademy http://javascriptissexy.com/

You can check out https://www.udemy.com/, there may be some free courses

Also, http://www.codeschool.com/, i believe have some free courses..

take these with a grain of salt, i don't know which is truly good...i know that codeacademy.com has been said to give a false sense of accomplishment...

    hope these helps

Just avoid w3schools.com and you'll be fine.

If anyone knows of a website that can offer ColdFusion help that isn't controlled by neurotic, pedantic jerks* (stackoverflow.com), please PM me with a link.
The neurotic, pedantic jerks are not the owners; just the people who are in control of the "popularity contest".
