just need to detect safari 4 or 5

I have an .svg file issue, that only exists for Safari 4 and 5. I just need a simple javascript onload browser detector that I can use to change one element in the page. I see a lot of extravagant browser and/or object detection scripts, but I just want something simple - and I'm not too experienced in this sort of script.

    Any thought? suggestions?
