    (javascript) What is the window.close(); equivilent for Mac IE?

    What is the window.close(); equivilent for Mac IE? Please hurry I'm almost done

    um. it's the same, everywhere. i'm guessing you have one of two problems. either you're trying to close a window with frames in it, or you're trying to close a window, and you're getting a security prompt.

    if you're trying to close a window in frames, then it's top.close():. if you're trying to close a window, and you're getting the alert, then there's no way around it.

    neither...
    Its a pop up that I write some html in and the user can read it and click the ok button... works in everything except for mac. When I click OK nothing happens. I saw one site mention closeWindow() for mac but that didn't work either.
