Adding Event Handlers to Select Tags in NS4 and Select Tag Bug in NS6?

Hello everyone. I've finally decided to join the coding community. Some of you may know me for my Dynamic-Fx Menu v6.5. So lets get to the point.

    1) I've been trying to give the select tag the onkeydown event handler in NS4 but have no luck. I'm guessing that it just isn't possible but maybe someone knows a way to do it?

    2) In NS6, the browser seem to require then you "null" an option before you can create a new option in the same place. Technically you can just overwrite the option but if you overwrite the option a few times, then the list seems to get wider for no reason. Furthermore, this seems to only affect lists with more than 2 items. Its really wierd. I Thought I'd just mention it incase someone knows why this is happening and how I can prevent it without having to null the option first because in some situations it is not a prefered thing to do.

Oh yes, and for any that care, I am done the version 6.6 of my menu which has many changes and fixes from 6.5. What I need are some testers. If you are interested, e-mail me http://maximus.ravecore.com/contact.shtml.

NS4 does not support key events on a <select> element.

As for NS6, try upgrading to NS7 PR or a recent Mozilla build and see if it still exhibits the same problem.

Ok well then NS4 will just be left out. Unfortuately its not so simple with NS6. I know that only a few use it but it's still relatively new so I gotta fix the problem even if the problem doesn't exist in NS7PR.

Ok, I did some testing and heres the bottom line. NS6(.2 if that matters) has a bug which cause the horizontal extension of the select tag when there are 2 items on the list and you use a new Option() on one of them. So I'm basically gonna leave it alone. No one is gonna die seeing a horizontal scrollbar if it appears.
