    'x' is null or not an object

    I am novice in advanced javascript & getting following error.
    'type' is null or not an object & 'undefined' is null or not an object.


    Please find the attached screenshot.

    The url must be the valid url of a .js file. dashboard.js would be fine.
    Your screenshot is illegible and hence useless.

    All advice is supplied packaged by intellectual weight, and not by volume. Contents may settle slightly in transit.

    All the code given in this post has been tested and is intended to address the question asked.
    Unless stated otherwise it is not just a demonstration.

    I'm not sure but I think using the .js extension for external scripts is not necessary; external scripts can be located at any valid URI which can be retrieved by browsers.
