    Timelapse Possible?

    Hello all,

I'm primarily a HTML/CSS/PHP web developer and don't have to much experience in the Javascript realm.

I was given the task of creating what you can see here: http://www.libertyhotel.com/function...ngs/index.html

If you don't feel like clicking the link, it's a timelapse video of a wedding reception being created.

I've got a wedding client who wants something similiar, HOWEVER the above example was created in Flash... They don't want flash.

Is this possible in Javascript or anything else? They dislike Flash due to the high amount of iPad / iPhone users they have.

    Thanks for the help!

There are several ways you could approach it:

    1. save it as a HTML5-compatible video and use HTML5 (simplest solution)
    2. preloading a series of images w/javascript and then displaying them using setTimeout when they finish loading/buffering
    3. Animated GIF (probably not the best due to image quality)
