    Javascript NavBar

Hi, and thank you for checking out this post. And please forgive me if I had posted this question in the wrong section.

I am having a hard time finding a simple tutorial on creating a CSS Navbar that also use's JavaScript. And doesn't have IE 6, 7 and so on issues.
I don't want a Dropdown Menu, I just want a simple Navbar that when one hovers over it it changes color.
Does anyone know where I can get some help on this issue?

    Thank you

You don't need javascript for that http://w3schools.com/cssref/sel_hover.asp it's pretty easy.
