    Image Fade Out?

    I am trying to get an image to fade on mouseover - just fade out, not back in. I looked at this script, http://www.javascript-fx.com/fade_ro...help/help.html which works quite well, but apparently only for gif images? Has anyone gotten it to work with jpg's? or is there some reason it cannot? Or is there some other way to do this?

    It should work with any kind of image (".png", ".gif", ".jpg", ".bmp") Have you tried it?

    Just make the rollover a jpeg

    JSFX.Rollover("button", "images/button_on.jpg");

    Roy,

    Thanks, yes I tired jpg, and it did not work. Maybe I screwed something up. I ended up doing a blend mode transition, but I may come back and look at your code again - I assume your code probably does a better job of fading and supports more browser versions, right?

    Not sure if it will do a "better job of fading" but it will work in IE and Mozilla based browsers (NS6+).
