    hiding of layers with NS 6+

    I am having difficulties understanding how you hide/unhide layers in NS 6

    In the past, we would check for the browser type and use the following and toggle the visibility attribute.

    for ie
    parent.content.divname.style.visibility = 'visible';
    for ns
    parent.content.document.divname.visibility = 'show';

    This does not work with NS 6+ and as I understand it, NS6 does not support the visibility attribute with NS6+ and recommends the use of iFrames.

    Is there any easy way of doing this so that we do not need two code streams(of layers).

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm assuming "content" is the framename:

    parent.content.contentDocument.getElementById("divid").style.visibility="visible";
