    window.print() function

    Is it possible to inhibit the print dialog box from displaying when
    invoking the winow.print() function?

    Nope. If it were possible a hostile web site could spool a lot of pages out to the user's printer without the user getting any chance to stop it.
    Check out the Forum Search. It's the short path to getting great results from this forum.

    window.print()

    Thanks for the fast reply.
    But clicking the print icon button(IE) prints without the
    dialog box - what is the difference?

    This is because it is controled on the application side with a call to the WMI... By the same token a different call is used when you Click File --> Print causing a Print Dialog box...
