How to center a javascript slideshow in a scaleable browser

    I'm trying to center a javascript fading-slideshow.

The javascript slideshow is 1100 pixels wide. I want it centered even if the visitor's resolution is 1024px wide or less, plus I want the website to not introduce a left-right scroll bar.

    Is this possible?

    Please see website: archivedepartment.com

Does anyone know if its possible?

    Thanks,
    spacex

When the browser is less then 1100px wide, you should see a horizontal scrollbar. Also, the slideshow never breaks the left side of the browser, in order to stay centered.

I found this solution for still images: http://davejay.exit42design.com/entry/All/44/
It is describing the problem in details as well.
