    Question javascript help required

    I am not able to understand the difference between top.opener and top.opener.parent. How do i equate top.opener.parent as top.opener, i.e top.opener.parent=top.opener

    The problem i have is stated below.
    JSP "A"
    Code:
            top.location=JSP "B"; (JSP "B" is the target URL)
    In JSP "B"
    Code:
            eval(top.opener.parent.some_variable);
    Earlier the above line read

    eval(top.opener.some_variable);

    This used to work fine. But now that top.opener.some_variable is changed to [icode]top.opener.parent.some_variable[icode], it does not find the some_variable.

    If I am correct to make this work, in simple logic I need to equate top.opener.parent= top.opener.

    Please help.
