Question How to remove titlebar in popup window

    Hello,

We need to open a popup window only with borders. We removed all the contents like menubar, toolbar.. etc. but we are unable to remove titlebar from the window.

Please help us if anyone have the solution for this.

    Thanks.

It is not possible to remove the title bar or completely control what appears in it.

What appears in the title bar depends on

    1. What appears in the title of the page
    2. The particular web browser being used
    3. Settings within the browser.

    Contestant: Deadly sins.

    See post#2.

In any case, why are you trying to suppress the title bar? Do you have a legitimate reason? The user can always close his browser with ALT-F4.

We are using the pop-up for editor which should not be like a separate page, we need only editor in pop-up nothing else. we are not bothering about closing of pop-up as we are giving separate button to close it inside the pop-up.

    Thanks.

I suppose what you want is an “inline popup”, that is, an element that pops up in the current window which then loads some other document through XMLHttpRequest (a. k. a. AJAX). This popup element can be styled at free will.

    Example sources:

You can do such kinds of “popup windows” easily with most JS libraries (jQuery, mootools, …) nowadays.
