Exclamation This is an odd effect with search highlighting.

EDIT: I went through the javascipt removing some of the remarks. Since then, the program has behaved except for an error report when leaving.

This program has a search panel using javascript to do the highlighting. When I input a letter - w say - all the w's are highlighted properly. If I delete the search panel w, the w's re-appear as they should, except for the centre panel.
(A page refresh resets it to normal.)

There the w's disappear altogether. I can find no difference in the center panel procedures to account for this. I think it must have something to do with the javascript which I have not the expertise to find.
