    Internet Explorer window.open with screen.availWidth

    Hi,

    The "settings" of my window.open function look like this:

    \"top=0,left=0,height==screen.availHeight,width==screen.availWidth,scrollbars=no,status=yes,menubar= yes,toolbar=no,resizable=no,location=yes,directories=no\"

    Everything works fine exept for the height and width of the window, they are not maximized like I want.
    I tried it as well with height=screen.availHeight, but without effect.

    Any idea?
    Thankx,
    Jerome

    You have two equal signs instead of one for the height and width. It's an assignment, so you just want one. There may be other problems, but that's an easy fix.

    By the way, I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate when a website "fake" maximizes my browser. I would never go to your site more than once.

    edit: Just to let you know why I dislike maximizing this way, it really is problematic. When I go to close a window I just quickly move the cursor the very very very upper right hand corner. I'm trying to close the window you popped up and it looks maximized, but since I am in the corner, it misses your window and closes what ever other program I am running behind it.

    Hi,

    I tried already to use just one equal sign, but it did not work either.

    By the way, I understand that you hate....... manipulated windows, but:

    1. The user can make a choice.

    2. My website is specially for handicapt people who don't see well.

    This works for me. Plug in any other options at the end as needed.

    window.open('mypopup.htm', 'wname', 'width="+screen.availWidth+",height="+screen.availHeight+",top=0,left=0,scrollbars=yes')
    I bet people who can't see very well are going to be even more frustrated than I am when they end up closing windows behind this popup though. Honestly, if I want my broswer maximized, I'll take care of it myself. Giving a choice is a step in the right direction at least.
