    step++
    else
    step=1
    ID = setTimeout("slideit()",1000)
    }
    function start() {
    ID = setTimeout("slideit()",1000)
    }
    slideit()
    //-->
    </script>
    Is there a way to allow the visitor to rewind and fast-foward through images?

    With any luck you'll be able to extract the information that you need.
