    Exclamation javascript to send fax

    hi,
    guys can anyone tell me how can i send a fax using javascript.
    the document to be faxed is not on the harddisk but is generated on the fly....dynamically

    Hi there, welcome to the forum.

    The thing about javascript is it is a client side scripting language. In other words it can only run on the clients machine.

    If you are wanting the page to access some fax software on the client's machine then that would be restricted and the browser would not let you do that. (Imagine if the browser allowed javascript to access any executable on your machine).

    It may be possible to send a fax using a server side language (such as php/cfm etc...)

    It would involve calling some kind of remote service which you would have to pay for and then charge the client for. eg http://www.interfax.net/en/dev/webse...sendfaxex.html
