Question Need Javascript code to mouseover text and change an image

    Hi all,

I am new here, came from webdeveloper and was hoping maybe I could find some help here.

I have a products page I am working on, where a flash movie scrolls through each product color and when you do a mouseover it pauses the movie.

Unfortunately my idea becomes too busy when I have multiple products showing each color choice (especially for larger screens that see 3-4 flash files at once.

So I am looking for a change. A code (javascript?) that when someone mouseover's the text/link (color choice) that paticular picture pops up in the space provided instead of using the flash file.

You can see what I have so far with the flash file and the style I'd like to keep. It seems fairly easy. I want to mouseover the link to show the image and I want it to work for multiple images and multiple products per page.

If anyone could assist I would appreciate it. Thank you.

From your description, I think ThumbSmart fits the bill.

    Question thank you and help?

    Hi Arty,

This looks like it is what I want, however, I have been playing with this code for three hours now, trying everything I know (which isn't much) and I can't get it to work.

I am certain that I qualify for the javascript for dummies category but I'm just not sure what I am doing wrong or what I am missing.

Maybe you could take a look at it and give me some pointers?

    Thanks,
You have named your first link 'products/tanners_everydaytee_lime.jpg', which is going to be very confusing. Let's say you named it 'limeGreen'.
You named your large image placeholder 'lime green', so to make it work for just that link, use this syntax:

    Code:
    ThumbSmart.setup('TShirts', 'lime green', 'hover restore',
    'limeGreen', 'image file to display', "");
Thereafter add as many groups of linkName, imageFile, titleText as required, with no comma after the very last parameter.
