Hello,

I posted this to the Google Maps API discussion group here, but I haven't gotten any useful help yet, so I'm hoping someone here can help me. Here's my orginal question:

Fist of all, here is an example page in my site:

http://www.mexicometro.org/en/line3/Balderas/info.html

So, I've been using a script found on maps.huge.info (with his
permission, of course) to load data regarding custom icons and
polylines onto my map. There are ~250 icons and 13 polylines, with
about another 60 markers and 2 more polylines to be added soon.
Everything seemed to be working handy-dandy, but I've realized that
the map loads slowly at times, and that it also appears to leak memory
if you visit several other pages in a row (the links on the right-hand
side of the page). I know that having that many points and custom
icons can be a problem, but is there anything that can be done to
speed up the process? Also, for the memory leak, I'm not sure what to
do to fix it, as I'm no js programmer. I tried to re-write the js from
scratch (using bits and peices from some tutorials, etc), but I' very
unconfortable with it at the moment. So, is anyone willing to help me
out? I'm not expecting for anyone to write the whole script for me,
but maybe point me to a clear tutorial for getting all of this data
out of an xml file?

Thanks in advance,

Richard

Thanks in advance for any help!
