    well, well.

I am not sure what you mean by tabbuttons on webpages if they are different from what was shown in dynamicdrive.com

CodingForums is a wonderful resource for people who are learning to write their own code and whilst, sometimes, people reply to questions and freely supply code; this is not normal practice.

Normal practice is for people to reply with suggestions, ideas and links to other resources, where the thread starter can read up on more information to achieve their aim.

I think that simply expecting to be given code and, then, throwing a wobbler when it is not immediately forthcoming is, shall we say, not the best way to win friends and influence people.

Out of sheer curiosity, I have now read all eleven of your previous posts in this forum. It seems that when people here give advice about not using tables, for example, that you criticise them because you insist that tables is correct for your page. Using CSS is a much better way to do your project but because you argue with those who would like to help you voluntarily, and who are much more experienced, i feel that I can't offer any tips that you would appreciate.

Quite, how you are going to enjoy this post is going to be interesting to say the least.

I expect his response will scale even more vertiginous intellectual heights.

Another senior member of this forum has messaged me privately as follows;-

"I really don't like that ScorpionZ person. First we give them a suggestion but its too hard for them, then they have the nerve to say "Give me something easier". I hate people who want to take the easy way out. He gave me bad rep though it didn't matter much. I'm guessing he likely gave you bad rep as well. I agree fully with your post. People try to walk before they can crawl."

I am not worried about bad rep. Those who 'know me' around here know what I am like and that I am very appreciative of help and pointers to tutorials. If I am a professional then I consider myself - in (UK) footballing terms to be perhaps 3rd division whilst some of you guys - especialy (I have to say), FishMonger are the 'Manchester Uniteds' of the Premier league.

That said, I have been given a good grounding by you guys and it is with that experience that i said what i did in my last post.

When dealing with my day-to-day customers, I have sometimes to remind myself of the saying, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink". I usually add to this (in my head), that if I knew it wouldn't drink, I wouldn't have led it there. All that means is: if I can tell or II get the impression that a questionner won't appreciate or accept the help I can give, then why should I waste time giving it - I shan't.

"When I was a child I spake as a child, I thought as a child and I understood as a child .......... But when I became a man I put away childish things ...... "

But I don't think that this chap is going to get very much help around here in the future.

You got two answers in the posts immediately beneeath the one where you asked the question. Try them out. Dynamic drive requires only that you copy and paste so try that. then, look at the reuslt in your browser and if your are not sure how it does what it does then ask a more specific question showing what code you already have.

A third answer for you is:

I happen to think that you would be better off asking in the CSS forum because, as far as I recall, this can be done with css.
