    form element - drop down box

    Hello,

    This element is slightly annoying and I dont like using them but I need to in this case.

    The problem is that when the drop down box loads it is empty and has a very small width which looks silly. I have created a script to load options into it and then the drop down box takes the width of the option added.

    So onloading the small width of the drop down box is annoying and so is there a way of loading the drop down box with a greater width without inserting a blank row of spaces??

    Thanks

    Use CSS to set the desired width.

    E.g.
    Code:
    <select name="select" style="width:500px;">
