my localhost javascript completely stopped working

i can't figure out why it's not responding...it isn't working in IE or Firefox, the only browsers i have on my computer. i am running wamp, but haven't changed anything to it. i do have mcafee running, but don't know if that is the case, it still doesn't work if i shut off mcafee. it's really wierd because if i open a file say on my desktop in a folder, that will work, but it will not work period off of my localhost...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you just created a new server on your computer? This problem sounds like on the setting of your PC server.

fixed. i had to uninstall mcafee privacy service. it wasn't allowing my javascript to run in localhost. i use external javascript files to funnel in flash instead of object embed tags, so this and my ajax stuff wouldn't work.
