    Screen resolution questions

    1) I have built my website using percentages to set page widths rather than set a fixed size. It works well in resolutions between 800 and 1280 wide and fits neatly on the page. Can anybody suggest a way to stop it stretching further beyond the 1280 width (whilst still fitting inside 800) ?

    2) Within the context of the above scenario is there a way to set a larger font if the user is browsing on the higher resolution ?

    CSS solutions:
    1. min-width, max-width properties can do it in modern browsers. Ie6 can be worked around.

    2. With media queries you can, but I believe only Opera supports those. Otherwise, I suggest you let the users choose if they want larger fonts or not - possibly through a style switcher.
