Guidelines: how to adapt code to jqm 1.4

After replacing reference from jquerymobile 1.2 to 1.4, the web page I am making looks broken. Are there any guidelines how to adapt the code to new version of script?

And by the way, do you follow in your jquerymobile apps the framework changes as they appear, or only when there is a clear reason?

The blog http://blog.jquerymobile.com/ normally has the updates and changes occurring between versions. Going from 1.2 to 1.4 may have quite a few.

It is good that you are updating from a prehistoric version of jQuery but why are you only upgrading to a stone age version instead of to a more recent version.

The changes to go from 1.2 and 1.4 are little different to the changes to go from 1.2 to 1.9 so by upgrading to a current version you will avoid having a second equivalent upgrade to get from 1.4 to 1.9 later.
