    Why am I getting this error in IE all of a sudden

    Error: Could not complete the operation due to error 80020101

    This only happens with IE.

    I am wondering if it has something to do with the jQuery .load() function.

    THis is how HTML content is loaded to the page.
    Code:
    function loadDivHTML(div_id, content_src)
    {
    	$("#" + div_id).load(content_src);
    }
    This is the HTML content that is being loaded to the page.
    Code:
    <div align="center"><div id="prop" /></div>

    <script type="text/javascript">
    	loadAnySWF("lesson_05/images/321_propagada.swf", "prop", 560, 420);
    	<!--loadAnySWF(swfURL, swf_id, w, h, xmlFile***Optional***)-->
    </script>
    And this is the code that embeds the SWF on the page
    Code:
    function loadAnySWF(swf_url, div_id, ww, hh, dataSrc)
    {
    	var flashvars = {};
    	flashvars.dataSrc = dataSrc;
    	var params = {};
    	params.wmode = "transparent";
    	var attributes = {};
    	swfobject.embedSWF(swf_url, div_id, ww , hh, "9.0.0", false, flashvars, params, attributes);
    }

    Where is the loadDivHTML function executed?

    A quick search for the error brought up these results: https://startpage.com/do/search?prf=...ernet+explorer , particularly the first two StackOverflow entries (I hope you get the same results as me) have some possible hints (not just in the accepted answers).

    I found some of those same results before asking here. I am still looking.

    Our site is fairly complex so it is hard to show all of the code invloved (not optimal practice when asking questions, I know).

    Here is where that code is executed from.
    Code:
    function requestPage(page_ind)
    {
    	$(this).scrollTop(0);
    	hidePup(); //Hide the new popup. MH
    	hideGlossary();
    	$('#page_jump_input').val('');//clear input TF on nav

    	$('#m_loading_window').css({'display':'block'});
    	setTimeout(hideLoadingGif, 800);
    	function hideLoadingGif()
    	{
    		$('#m_loading_window').css({'display':'none'});
    	}

    	var req = pages_arr[page_ind].url;
    	var title = pages_arr[page_ind].title;

    	$("#dev_pages_total").html((page_ind + 1) + " of " + pages_arr.length + " total");
    	$("#dev_pages_total_phone").html((page_ind + 1) + " / " + pages_arr.length);

    	loadDivHTML(contentDiv_id, req);
    	$("#pageTitle").text(title);
    	$("#blockTitle").text(block_title);
    	$("#courseTitle").text(course_name);

    	document.title = mainTitle; //This forces the tab title. Page errors will affect tab title if this is not set. 'mainTitle' var set at top of this script.

    	current_pg_ind = parseInt(page_ind) //+ 1;
    	checkClassification(); //Call the function to check content classification. Must be turned off when not needed.
    }
    Thanks for the help. The search continues.

    OK, this is frustrating. Earlier I removed the following comment from the script tag: <!--loadAnySWF(swfURL, swf_id, w, h, xmlFile***Optional***)-->

    Then I cleared the cache, still had the problem. So after reading one of the search results listed above (thanks again) I tried the same thing again, this time success.
