Hello, I am currently working on a project which I won't go into too much detail about as it isn't necessary.

I'm currently slim on time, normally I wouldn't just post before reading through previous threads. But I am hoping someone could be kind and courteous enough to lend me a hand.

I am using the following things - both programmed by other people:

Facebox
JQuery Plugin Auto Resize Textbox

I am also using the following method for Ajax POST (Also using GET using a similar manner)

Code:
//POST METHOD
if(typeof refreshDiv != 'function') {
function refreshDiv(post_id, like){
var getdate = new Date();
  if(xmlhttp) {
    xmlhttp.open("POST","showdata.php",true);
    xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function(){
      if (xmlhttp.readyState==4 && xmlhttp.status==200){
           document.getElementById("myDiv").innerHTML=xmlhttp.responseText;
      }
    }
    xmlhttp.setRequestHeader('Content-Type', 'application/x-www-form-urlencoded');
    xmlhttp.send("output="+output);
  }
}
}
Obviously, within the output results I have a call to the JQuery objects mentioned earlier.

My problem is that when I call the AJAX POST function, the JQuery stops working within the output of the call. I have had a similar problem with PHP Functions and variables etc... which I just re-declare them if and when the call is made - however I can't seem to get JQuery to do.

My questions are:

1) Would I be better off using the AJAX functions that come native to JQuery - if so would this resolve my problem?

2) If not, is there anything you can suggest to fix it.

Any help will be much appreciated and save me a lot of hassle. Thank you in advance!
