    JQuery - Jplayer problem

    Hello all,

I have implemented the JQuery JPlayer into my website but for some reason it will not work. The play button or any of the other buttons just jump the page to the top.

Here is a link to the test website

    http://www.hm-designs.co.uk/crossland2/solo.php

If you click on any of the artiste names in the left hand column you will see the media box with the audio player in.

Just to clarify I am loading the JPlayer on the main solo.php with the other elements like fancybox and atb script etc, using the .document ready function

I dont know enough about JQuery to know why this is ahppening. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thank you in advance for any help

    Helen

I can't say exactly what the problem is, but you might want to create a playlist, rather than have multiple players. It also seems that you've got no buttons assigned for the first player, and only the second.

Also the latest jPlayer has a function that when you define a pause button, it will show the play button OR the pause button, but not both at the same time. You also do not need to define any functions as they're apart of the plugin.

Try a single player, you'll make a lot more progress, a lot quicker. Although the cross over idea is pretty neat. Then once you've got the first player done, you can implement the second player by copying and replacing code. A lot easier than adding "2" to all of the id attributes.

    hello,

thank you for your reply :-)

I have just realised that the way it runs at the minute will not be suitable for the website anyway even if I get it working, as I need different audio files to play on each external page that is loaded.

I have emailed the guys at Happy Worm where I downloaded the JPlayer from to see if they can quote me to help out as I need this doing asap, I need to get the site finished so I can get it launched

Thank you for your reply though, I really appreciate it

I dont know if this should go in here or in another section but instead of starting new threads up I have just added it to this....

I have got rid of the jplayer idea and I am now using a flash player with XML to load the playlist, however this works just fine in every browser except IE!! (What a shock)

The dynamic page does not load, you can click the link to laod the external page but it just shows blank, there is no content.

I have tried googling this problem but I couldnt find any solutions, can anyone help me out?

    The link is http:///www.hm-designs.co.uk/crossland2/solo.php

and if you click on TARA FEMALE VOCALIST in the left hand column you will see what I mean

    Thank you
    Helen
