print HTML with Page 3 of 10

While printing a HTML, generated by PHP, (the logical structure is identified but its size is variable) it is compulsory to precise directly in the document body, the number of each printed page and the total amount of pages. i.e : Page 3 of 10. Script language PHP or JavaScript. Mozilla or Firefox as browser.
    Thanks for your help.

You might want to re-post this question in the javascript or php section of this website.

as to my knowledge, you cannot print specific pages with javascript. I may be wrong, but have never seen it. the only thing you can do is print() . any further control would be a security violation. basically the user is the only one who decides what pages to print.
I make no attempt at pretending like I'm a professional. I offer help with what knowledge I do have.

The only way I have been able to control page numbering and printing is sending the form to a pdf first, using fpdf, for example.
