    Help! Getting Overflow to work in IE7

    Issue:
    overflow in ie7 doesnt work when block element is inside a table cell.
    I have posted my code below, to see what Im refering to, use this code in both Firefox and IE7, then try resizing the browser. Firefox is correct while IE7 is not.

    IF somebody has an answer to this, that would be helpful.

    Here is my code:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1" ?>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html>

    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />

    <style type="text/css">
    .container {
    padding: 5px;
    border: 1px solid red;
    }
    .insidecontainer {
    border: 1px solid blue;
    height: 70px;
    overflow: auto;
    }
    </style>

    </head>

    <body>

    <table class="table" border="1" cellpadding="5" width="100%">
    <tr>
    <td>

    <div class="container">asdofihasdpfioh
    <div class="insidecontainer">
    aphfaspjiofasphspjipashfaspiojpasiofjaspfhaspofjidaspifaspfihasfpasjfiosfhpsofhaspiojf
    </div>
    </div>

    </td>
    <td>asdf</td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    </body>
    </html>

    I don't have IE7; but what is even the purpose of the table? Also, the XML declaration at the top may affect it; it would affect IE6.
