    Smaller form fields?

    Having seen a few on other sites thought I might ask for help.

    I notice around and about that website that offer a 'search this site' option tend to have a search field that is smaller than the standard ones. (If that makes sense)

    I would ideally like to get my hands on a simple <form> that is not a big as the ones created in DW or by standard HTML coding. (mainly height wise) Is there a way? or is everyone using JS for the search boxes?

    Hope this makes sense

    Thanks...

    Am i right in thinking thought that that will NOT affect the height?

    I am more interested in trying to not make the fields as tall as they normally are.

    A smaller font maybe? It will affect the height.

    <input type="text" style="font-size:10px;" ... />

    whoops... sorry.

    use height in its style...

    <input type="text" style="height: 10px" ... />

    Edit: you will need to change the font size too, otherwise the bottom of the input will be cut off....

    Or with a border (even taller);

    <input type="text" size="10" style="border:1px solid #000;font-size:10px;" />
