Internet Explorer IE6 showing extra text with floating div

    Hello!

I ran into this weird problem with IE6 and <div>s.

At the moment I am working on the following website: http://vwg.net/test/cocon/index.html
The css is located here: http://vwg.net/test/cocon/cocon.css
Both the HTML and CSS validate.

A small explanation of how the site is constructed and where the problem occurs.

My right most div shows some an exra ">>" in IE6, but doesn't in FF. The ">>" comes from the "NAAR HET ARCHIEF >>" link.
I've already figured out that if I remove the <div class="rechts"> that the extra ">>" disappears. But than my layout isn't right anymore.
Another option is to not have my <div>s floating, but than I would loose the nice black line around my page.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

I am using IE 7 and I do not see what you are showing. Maybe it is one of those stupid things that IE 6 does. The PM I sent you please disregard it.

    Thanks

I'm still kinda reluctant to use IE 7 for building websites, since not the majority of the users is using it yet. And it should be working good on IE6 anyway

PM disregarded, good luck with your project!

Ok, that helps! Thanks a lot!
And I'm trying so hard not to think of IE as the suckiest browser ever...

It also shows me that the search string in google makes a whole lot of difference. I never searched on duplicate, hence couldn't find the answer.

PS: nice location _Aerospace_Eng_ Gotta love Shrek!
