Unhappy css margins not working in firefox

hey. I kinda need some help here...
    http://www.sabukudo.com/sk2/octobere...atestpanel.htm

okay... well the main problem is that my design doesn't display properly in firefox. the margins don't affect the div display, and the divs are automatically expanding past the page margin. this is for the div classes .lhead and .lbase. I want them to conform to the width of the browser, but be within the maincontent div. I want them to have a 10px left margin and a 200px right margin. yeah. maybe someone can help. that would be cool.

another thing that I don't really remember how to do is get two divs or spans to display next to eachother filling the width of the area that they're in. this would apply to div.lauthor and dic.lsource.

other than that I think I've got everything under control. Maybe some suggestions on how to optimise the html or css or something would be nice.

Any div that you set to 100% width remove the width. That is part of the your problem because padding does count for overall width as well as margin. Read into the css box model.

Thank you very much. I don't know why I didn't try that.
