    Angry CSS list menu firefox loading problem

    Hi,
    The links in my Horizontal menu are out of place until I refresh the webpage in Firefox and Netscape. Opera and IE render it just fine on the 1st try. The menus are all CSS and I an using a table-less layout and some javascript in the web page also.
    Here is the link to the page:
    www.wakeboarding8-16.intuitiveb.com

    Does anyone know what may be causing the out of place menu links on initial load?

    I had something similar which drove me nuts for years. Turns out I forgot to add a height; try defining a height to ul.horlist and see if that helps…

    Generally it's good practice to define both width and height (when possible) to anything floated or otherwise out of the normal page flow.

    Height doesn't seem to be fixing it.

    Thank you for the suggestion, but it doesn't seem to be fixing it.

    I tried adding "height=25px;" to
    #Topmenu, then to
    #Topmenu ul.horlist, then to
    <ul class="horlist" height="25px"> in the body to no avail. Do you have any other ideas of might be causing it? If I turn on and off some of the java script, even the left menu starts screwing up which is really wierd.

    Oh, my next big bet is this:

    Code:
    <div id="Header"><img alt="sunburst graphic" src="images/Top Rose Banner.jpg" />
    </div>
    There should definitely be a width and height set in the img tag, the old fashioned way is fine:

    Code:
    <div id="Header"><img alt="sunburst graphic" src="images/Top Rose Banner.jpg" width="700" height="200" /><!-- or whatever the width and height of the image are -->
    </div>
