    <div> and </div>

    Hi,

can someone perhaps explain or point me to an explanation of this option?
I am not sure how they can be used and what their main purpose is.
But if I look at where they are used, they seem to provide me with a solution of how to insert data into a specific area at the end of a php script (maybe?)

    thanks,
    twomt

OK, how I understood it (correct me if I am wrong) is that I give it an id <div id=x> and then when I want to stick info into that section I do index.php?x=something

probably not, but that is how I understood it.

Erm... no. I'm not sure where you're coming from with the php references. 'div' is an html element that usually denotes sections of a page. For example, many people put a banner and navigation menu in a div and giv it the id 'header'.
